너무 완벽하려고 하면 오히려 완벽과 더욱 더 멀어진다

뭐든 너무 완벽하려고 하면 오히려 완벽과 더욱 더 멀어진다.

쉽게 지치고 앞으로 나가지 못하기 때문이다. 지나치게 잘 하려고 해서

오히려 더 잘할 수 없는 것을 완벽의 마비(paralysis of perfection)라고 한다.

아주 뛰어나지 못해도 그 일 자체를 즐기고 과정을 즐기다 보면 조금씩 나아진다.

무슨 일을 하든 이루고자 하는 마음을 갖되 완벽을 추구하지는 말자.
